Welcome, prospective transfers, to the UC Riverside College of Natural & Agricultural Sciences, a.k.a. CNAS!

Described by current transfers as a tight-knight, open, kind and understanding community, CNAS pursues research that deepens our knowledge of the universe we live in and improves the quality of life for inhabitants of the state, the nation, and the world. Central to this research is educating students like you...students who come to CNAS to learn science, and who leave with an integrated grasp of how they can change the world!

CNAS Transfer Connections

The CNAS Transfer Connections Program is dedicated to supporting the academic and professional success of students within the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS); specifically incoming and current transfer students.

Liz Jimenez CNAS Transfer Success Coordinator

Liz Jimenez, Transfer Success Coordinator
Liz began her higher education journey at Santa Ana College, where she transferred to UC Riverside and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Chicano Studies. Her love for education led to her obtaining her Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Redlands. She has a background in Admissions and Advising, however, she currently oversees the CNAS Transfer Connections Program and teaches NASC 092 a 1-unit Transfer Transition Seminar open to new transfers in Fall and Winter. She is passionate about student success and her goal is to ensure that every transfer student feels not only welcome but at home here in CNAS and during their time at UCR. She is here to help transfer students acclimate to the university system and get them connected to faculty, resources, and research.

CNAS Majors

CNAS undergraduates have access to 17 majors within 13 departments, with a total of 29 academic options or tracks. In addition to their coursework, more than half of CNAS undergraduates participate in research during their time at the College.

Maybe you're excited about exploring the world for yourself. Perhaps you're interested in CNAS because of the advantage it gives you for a career in one of the medical or health professions. Maybe you love math and science but aren't sure what direction in which to go, or you've already chose your major, but want to have some other experiences, too. No matter which description fits you best, the CNAS Advantage is for you!
