Welcome to the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences at UCR!

From its roots in agricultural research, the College continues to expand its scientific reach with a number of internationally ranked programs addressing the most pressing scientific questions of our time, including food security, global warming, life in outer space, health and wellness, renewable resources, and genomics.

Our faculty include two Nobel laureates, 12 members of the National Academy of Sciences, five members of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and six members of the National Academy of Inventors.

The College offers a wide array of opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students to enjoy unparalleled hands-on learning in the lab and the field, under the guidance of renowned professors who love to teach. This unique learning experience is offered within a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment.

Finally, the College oversees one-of-a-kind research and educational resources including the Givaudan Citrus Variety Collection, an extensive herbarium, the UCR Botanic Gardens, and research collections in Nematology, Earth Sciences, and Entomology. Eight natural reserves and two agricultural field stations are administered by the College.

On behalf of my colleagues, I extend you all a warm welcome!
