INTERESTING ENGINEERING - In a stunning revelation challenging a previously held popular notion, researchers have revealed that the Megalodon, formally known as Otodus megalodon, was in fact, a more slender creature than imagined.

However, the study, led by Kenshu Shimada, a paleobiology professor at DePaul University, challenges this long-standing notion by presenting evidence that Megalodon's body form was more elongated than its modern counterpart, the great white shark.

Philip Sternes, the first author of the study and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Riverside, emphasized the importance of this finding, saying, "Even though it remains uncertain exactly how long the body form of O. megalodon was elongated relative to the great white shark, this new finding marks a major scientific breakthrough in the quest to decipher what the Megalodon looked like."
