Hello there!
Greetings, and welcome to CNAS! My name is Kathryn Uhrich, and I am Dean of the College of Natural & Agricultural Sciences.
Congratulations again on your admission to UC Riverside! At CNAS, we're committed to educating students in the sciences so they leave with an integrated grasp of how they can change the world.
As a CNAS student, you'll benefit from a structure that is unique among land-grant colleges: CNAS' 13 departments that encompass the life, physical, mathematical, and agricultural sciences. From protecting bees and pollinators to using aerial drones to study climate change to helping once-endangered animals to thrive - CNAS research impacts life all around us. Our research is global in scope, and since half of our undergraduates participate in research, with many co-authoring research papers, you will have the opportunity to investigate questions with real-world implications in our classrooms and labs.
From our research to our diverse community, our immersive classrooms and accomplished faculty...there's a lot to love about CNAS!
I invite you to get to know us better through our upcoming Highlander Day and admitted student live chats. You'll learn more about the impact you'll make both on campus and throughout the world as a CNAS student!
Today is the day to say "yes" to CNAS! Log in to your My.UCR.EDU account to submit your Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) by May 1. After submitting your SIR, remember to check My.UCR.EDU for important updates in the months ahead.
Welcome to our community of scholars, scientists, and world-changers! We can't wait to see you on campus soon!
Regards,
Kathryn E. Uhrich
