Dean Kathryn Uhrich Elected to College of Fellows for Controlled Release Society


Dean UhrichKathryn Uhrich has been given the highest award from the country's leading professional organization for delivery science, the Controlled Release Society.

Uhrich, a chemist and Dean of the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS) at UCR, was elected to the organization's College of Fellows for her "innovative research on polymers for controlled release applications [which] has advanced the field." 

According to the CRS website the College of Fellows recognizes those members who have made outstanding contributions to the field of delivery science and technology over a minimum of 10 years. Contributions may have been technical, scientific, and/or managerial in one or more fields of research, commercial development, education, and/or leadership within the areas of interest to CRS. Fellowship is the most prestigious level of membership in CRS.

Building on a successful career as a researcher, entrepreneur and Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University, Uhrich came to UCR to became Dean of CNAS in January of 2016.
