Celebrating a Year of Milestones
What a year it’s been! Among our achievements: Two Nobel laureates along with 24 other stellar new faculty, record student enrollments, increased research grant numbers, fundraising on track to fulfill the Living the Promise campaign goal, and UCR rising up the ranks in the US News rankings (more than any other U.S. university!).
The year 2019 promises to build on these successes, starting with the opening of the Multidisciplinary Research Building (MRB) in January, a state-of-the-art facility. The college is also planning Plant Growth Environment Facilities, with groundbreaking targeted for this Spring. A number of major gifts and research grants will be officially announced in the coming months.
