Agricultural Experiment Station & Cooperative Extension
The Agricultural Experiment Station at UCR is part of a nationwide system of land-grant universities that conduct research to maintain an economically viable and environmentally sustainable food, forest, ornamental, and fiber production system. Much of this research is focused on ensuring a safe, dependable, nutritious, diverse, and affordable food supply. AES scientists also develop programs to support the preservation and protection of the state's natural resources. Many AES scientists collaborate with UC Cooperative Extension specialists and county-based advisors so that results of UCR research reach Californians swiftly and directly.
