Our Divisions

Three Divisions Highlight CNAS’s Diversity
CNAS is a major force at the University of California, Riverside, with the largest number of graduate students, second-largest number of undergraduates, and twice the amount of research dollars as any other college on campus. Its 13 departments are organized into three divisions, each with its own divisional dean
The division structure enhances CNAS’s diversity by keeping budgetary and other decision making as close to the user as possible. The divisional deans promote strong interdisciplinary interactions and provide resources to keep flexibility within the departments.
Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources
Today "agriculture" means taking care of the resources—air, water, and living things—that we need to sustain life. Building on CNAS’s historical strengths, this division encompasses subjects aimed at improving our food and water supply.
