"Before genomics, citrus breeding was a study in patience," wrote Robert K. Soost. He should know; he was the UCR geneticist who developed the Experiment Station's first great citrus varieties, like the Oro Blanco grapefruit and the Gold Nugget mandarin. Our 100th Anniversary
